Stress Less

It seems to me that the stress we experience in our daily lives has an effect on every aspect of what we feel and do. The impact of stress on our bodies and their ability to both defend against and heal disease and injuries is profound. Anyone who has ever experienced that "anxious" feeling in their chest, the sleep disturbances, digestive problems, headaches, tight muscles, or tried to live with what seems like a "brain that won't shut up" know the toll stress and imbalance can take on their whole life.

It seems to me that emotional upset, physical trauma, or mental anguish can temporarily divert the normal balance of ones mental, physical, and emotional energies. Normally, when the upsetting factor has been resolved, life resumes its normal balance. But occasionally this imbalance seems to remain even though the event that caused it is no longer present. Sometimes, even though there may not have been one specific situation in ones life there has been a constant stream of small upsets and challenges that leave feelings of being overwhelmed and exhausted, as though the body's natural functions have been disrupted. This is the environment in which disease and injury flourish.

It seems to me that a holistic program that coordinates and synchronizes the workings of all the systems of the body is what would actually put the body back in the natural state that allows healing and restoring to take place. When the body's systems are balanced and synchronized they all work together harmoniously in the way in which they were intended. You feel good. This program communicates with the sensory system - to signal that the emergencies are over. Then your body can get on with the business of functioning naturally and healing. Life's daily challenges are more easily put into perspective.
